Elena Degl’innocenti (pronounced De-li-no-chen-tee) is an Italian-born singer/songwriter/guitarist. Born and raised in Florence, Elena moved to LA to follow her music dream, and graduated from Musician's Institute and then UCLA. Blessed with a three-octave soprano voice, she sings in Italian, English, Portuguese, Spanish and French. Her vast repertoire mixes her Italian roots with her Jazz and Latin influences.
Elena is an award-winning songwriter gaining recognition at several International songwriting competitions including the Great American Song Contest and the UK Songwriting Contest. Her album “Question Marks” earned a nomination for “Record of the Year” from the LA Music Awards. Elena currently has three full length albums, both produced by Giulio Carmassi, who is a multi-instrumentalist and formerly with Pat Metheny.
Elena performs locally, throughout the west coast, and in Italy. She is also a passionate educator, teaching voice and guitar to many private students throughout Los Angeles including two music classes for young children at UCLA.
In addition to her musical talent, Elena’s fans also know her humorous side. During the fundraising campaign for her second record, she literally immersed herself in a bathtub full of cooked pasta to entertain fans and encourage them to pledge. Needless to say, she reached her goal! Elena has also made videos for several of her songs, each depicting a storyboard of her heartfelt lyrics about life, love and more. She is also passionate about food and made several cooking videos which may be found on her youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/user/eledinn
