Elena Degl’innocenti (pronounced De-li-no-chen-tee) is an Italian-born singer/songwriter/guitarist. Born and raised in Florence, Elena moved to LA to follow her music dream, and graduated from Musician's Institute and then UCLA. Blessed with a three-octave soprano voice, she sings in Italian, English, Portuguese, Spanish and French. Her vast repertoire mixes her Italian roots with her Jazz and Latin influences.

Elena is an award-winning songwriter gaining recognition at several International songwriting competitions including the Great American Song Contest and the UK Songwriting Contest.

Her song "Waiting For" has been featured on CBS prime show "All Rise".

Her album “Question Marks” earned a nomination for “Record of the Year” from the LA Music Awards. Elena currently has four full length albums, three of them produced by Giulio Carmassi, who is a multi-instrumentalist and formerly with Pat Metheny. 

Elena performs throughout the US and in Italy. She is also a passionate educator, teaching voice and guitar to many private students, including two music classes for young children at UCLA. She has released a Children's Music Course which features original songs mixed with music games  Read More

In addition to her musical talent, Elena’s fans also know her humorous side. During the fundraising campaign for her second record, she literally immersed herself in a bathtub full of cooked pasta to entertain fans and encourage them to pledge. Needless to say, she reached her goal! Elena has also made videos for several of her songs, each depicting a storyboard of her heartfelt lyrics about life, love and more. Elena now lives in Nashville, continuing her work as a singer and educator. She has sang with the Williamson County Chorale and appeared the on TV Christmas Special with Southern Gospel music legend Bill Gaither.

Other Projects: Elena has loaned her Florentine flair to various artists: 

-Toured with Charlie Haden's violinist and vocalist daughter, Petra Haden, promoting Petra Haden and the Sellouts’ vocalized version of the famous, “The Who Sell Out”, and opening for Foo Fighters. 
-Toured with the Reggae and soul dub outfit The Divine Crime, who opened for Reggae legends such as Yellowman, Bushman and Pato Banton. 
-Elena's side project is Peach & Knife, a duo with songwriter Molly White (of B is for Baroness).
